A journey of a thousand miles begins
with a single step... but there is a lot more involved in the taking that one
step than just your own willingness. There’s society, parent’s permission,
availability of time, enough financial resources and a lot more. When all of
this works out, the only thing stopping you from traveling is you, your fear.
But once you take this step, there
is no turning back. Traveling is so addictive, especially in the beautiful
country of India – where you can find everything, from mountains to beaches to valleys;
from the Mughal monuments, to old heritage sites to remnants of the British
Raj. Through this blog, I want to share about the various expeditions that I take,
the kind of experiences and problems I face, what I love about it, what I hate
about it and everything that relates to my journey. Most importantly, it is
going to be something I can look back to after years and be happy about. My
journey is not just to satisfy the urge to see unknown places, meet new people
and gain as much knowledge as possible from the unknown but also about
discovering myself on the way. But, my dream is to see this world; with or
without anyone on the seat beside me. There are many people I would love to
thank for helping me make this decision.
First of all, my parents of course;
who were supportive of my wild demands to travel and that too on my own, at
times. Palak Shetty, who inspired me to turn my wish into reality with her undying
love for travelling. Karan Dave for helping me find the courage to take this
step. Thank you guys, this would have only been a dream without you two.
Aashina Vyas for sending me all those images and quotes about traveling and
being the most supportive constantly! Vidhi Patel for being there, all the time
and assuring me that I haven’t lost my mind. Vedang Bhatt and Bhavya Garg, my
Kizuna buddies, for always pushing me to travel and get more out of life! Rishit
Shah and Dhrumil Mavani, for their silent but constant support. Bhumil
Soochak, for always making me jealous of the new places he visits and inspiring
me to see more number of destinations! And finally, Siddarth Balachandran, for the new found love for traveling he's acquired!
Thank you everyone, this wouldn’t have
been possible without you guys :)
